YEE HAW!! We went to the fair this past Friday and had a blast. I was so
excited that
Riley actually wanted to go on some rides this year. She has been a confusing one for us. Back in 2007 when we went on our family reunion in Colorado she loved all the rides at Six Flags but last year at the fair she refused to go on anything but the really tame rides. ( Can we say Jalopy Cars!!) I met by best friend ( f0r those of you from Meridian she is Tim Gould's wife) and her daughters there along with my mom, sister and her 2 daughters. We got there around 11 in the afternoon and didn't leave until a little bit after 9 that evening. I got a bracelet for myself this year (didn't last year, let my husband ride with the kids since Riley didn't want to do much) but since my husband has been too busy with the addition to our house (he's doing it himself) I decided I would try going on rides this year. Let me just say that I cannot handle rides like I used to. I went on (I am going to use the old school references for a few of these rides so that you can reminisce along with me) the Music Fest, the Gravitron, the Sizzler, a new one for me called the Kite Rider or something like that and they ALL, yup that's right, ALL made me feel icky. They didn't even seem to faze my kids. Oh to be young again.....

Oh my! It has been a seriously long time. It looks like you're doing well. How old are your kids? I think I ran into you once a long time ago at the supermarket in Lynden. I think you were pregnant with the youngest. I don't really keep in touch with anyone from Meridian, except through facebook. It's kinda fun to see what everyone is up to. And when I run into someone when I'm home. We were there in July this summer for a while. My parents watched Jake while we went on an Alaskan cruise. I wish we could have coincided the time with the fair. I haven't been to that since high school. And I understand about the rides thing. I went to six flags a number of years ago and I couldn't handle the rides like I could before. Hope all is well and stay in touch.
Take care,
Lisa
The only other blog link on mine you might look at is Holly (stauffer) Snow. Anna Jensen is under Stringhams, but hers is private. You'd have to email and ask for an invite. astringham@hotmail.com
Of course I remember you!...but you're right I probably would not have recognized your married last name! You look great and your family is so cute!
I love the Lynden fair and wish I could bring my kids every year...a couple years ago I went on the gravitron (which used to be my favorite) with my oldest and...lets just say..it's not how I remember it! I felt like I was drunk and spinning...and not a "good-drunk!" but...I still love me some music-fest!
