One more milestone gone....

Last week I sent my oldest child off to 4th grade and my middle child off to 2nd grade but yesterday I sent my youngest off to kindergarten. I have to say I held up better than I thought I would (no tears!!) when I left her in her class on Tuesday. She was so excited that I couldn't help but be excited for her. I had a harder time letting her ride the bus today than I did taking her to school yesterday!! I came home yesterday and just sat for awhile trying to figure out what to do first ( of course there was my work to do, but who wants to do work?!) but I finally figured my day out and ended up getting a lot done. I definitely want to get more scrapbooking done; another reason to look forward to fall!! Anyway, here are some pics of all 3 from their first day of school and one of Riley at home right before we left for her orientation that happened last week....

The Northwest Washington Fair

YEE HAW!! We went to the fair this past Friday and had a blast. I was so excited that Riley actually wanted to go on some rides this year. She has been a confusing one for us. Back in 2007 when we went on our family reunion in Colorado she loved all the rides at Six Flags but last year at the fair she refused to go on anything but the really tame rides. ( Can we say Jalopy Cars!!) I met by best friend ( f0r those of you from Meridian she is Tim Gould's wife) and her daughters there along with my mom, sister and her 2 daughters. We got there around 11 in the afternoon and didn't leave until a little bit after 9 that evening. I got a bracelet for myself this year (didn't last year, let my husband ride with the kids since Riley didn't want to do much) but since my husband has been too busy with the addition to our house (he's doing it himself) I decided I would try going on rides this year. Let me just say that I cannot handle rides like I used to. I went on (I am going to use the old school references for a few of these rides so that you can reminisce along with me) the Music Fest, the Gravitron, the Sizzler, a new one for me called the Kite Rider or something like that and they ALL, yup that's right, ALL made me feel icky. They didn't even seem to faze my kids. Oh to be young again.....

Back in business...

I've been a bit busy lately and I haven't really had time to add anything to my blog. (Obviously, since it has been over a year since I last wrote something!!!) We have been busy this summer with the addition to our house and having family over visiting from Kauai for the month of July. I need to get back to work right now but I am going to post a few pics of the addition to our house in progress!!! Hopefully when the kids get back in school I can keep everyone up to date on what is going on with our family... Hope everyone had a great summer.
